Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport widely popular in the United States, Japan, Latin America, and parts of Europe. It is played between two teams, typically consisting of nine players each. The game is played on a field called a diamond, which has four bases arranged in a square. One team takes the role of the offense (batting) while the other is the defense (fielding).
Gameplay:
The pitcher throws the ball toward the batter, who attempts to hit it with a bat.
The batter’s goal is to reach as many bases as possible without being put out.
The defensive team tries to get the batter or baserunners out by catching the ball, tagging players, or forcing them out at a base.
A run is scored when a player successfully rounds all four bases and returns to home plate.
